With physical therapy, you can:

  • Decrease your pain

  • Move more easily and comfortably

  • Get back to functioning and doing what you need to do - chores, self-care, working, or hobbies

  • Become more independent

Q: What do physical therapists do?

Physical therapists use many methods and tools to help you move better and have less pain. Some of the strategies we use at the SAY clinic include:

  • Targeted exercise

  • Strengthening and stretching

  • Hands-on techniques like stretching or massage

  • Training for canes, crutches, walkers, etc

  • Training for daily tasks like getting in and out of bed, chairs, and going up and down stairs

  • Teaching you to move more efficiently

Q: How can I get an appointment at the SAY clinic?

At the SAY clinic, we treat people who are uninsured or underinsured. If you'd like to make an appointment for physical therapy, here's what you can do:

  • Get a referral from your doctor.

  • All referrals are good for 21 days or 10 visits to physical therapy, whichever comes first!

  • Call (313) 242-7275. 

  • Is trasportation an issue? Ask us about our free bus tickets!

  • Don't have a doctor to get a referral from? Visit the SAY Detroit Family Health Clinic in the same location!
